Teaching with Wimba Voice
What is Wimba Voice?
UNT has a campus-wide license to Wimba Voice 6.0, a set of tools that enables educators to incorporate voice recording in instruction. Many of these tools allow instructors to enable recording by students, promoting vocal instruction, collaboration, coaching, and assessment. These tools include:
- Voice Podcaster: Create or upload podcasts for user subscription
- Voice Presentation: Add web content alongside vocal messages
- Voice Discussion Board: Post and listen to voice messages within discussion boards
- Voice Authoring: Record and listen to voice on a web page
- Voice E-mail: Send and listen to voice through email messages
- Integrated Gradebook: Automatically update Bb Vista gradebooks with voice board assessments

Getting Started
- In Blackboard Vista on the Build tab, click Add Content and select the Voice tool you would like to use.
- Outside of Blackboard Vista, please send an email to lauri.morrow@unt.edu to request a Wimba Voice 6.0 account.

Wimba's collaboration software is designed to meet or exceed globally recognized accessibility guidelines, as defined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (U.S. Government), as well as W3C-WAI and SENDA (UK).
